Some friends in a WordPress Facebook group were posting about how to show your business website on your personal Facebook account so that folks who may not yet be “friends” can see what you do. If you aren’t sure what your website looks like to the public (people who aren’t “friends):
Go to the View Activity Log
Click on View As
See what the outside world sees when they come to your Facebook page.
Are folks able to get in touch with you?
If you want your website address, or other info, to appear in this area for viewing of the general public:
- Click on the ABOUT tab on your Facebook page.
- Select “Contact and Basic Info”
- Enter in your website information
- Select “Public” and save your changes
- Then go back and check to see what “public viewers” see when they visit your site.
If you need any help or have questions, let me know!

Here are links to some of the groups I like:
WordPress Help for Beginners
WordPress for Designers
You can learn a lot from viewing the questions posted by others on these groups and also receive help on your own wordpress issues. Groups hope that you will participate by helping others, not posting spammy advertising, and by being kind and respectful in your comments and feedback. I learn so much from others in this way.
