Manage Zoom Meetings, Webinars, Recordings, Users and Reports right from the WordPress dashboard.

Users can then join meetings directly from your website with the click of a button.

Sign up for Zoom

The Zoom basic plan is enough to get started. It’s free for personal meetings with:

  • Up to 100 participants
  • 40-minute group meetings
  • Unlimited 1:1 Meetings

Install and Activate Plugin

In this tutorial, I’m using the free Videoconferencing with Zoom plugin. You can download it or search for it under plugins in your WordPress dashboard. Go to Plugins > Add New > Enter “Video Conferencing with Zoom” in the Search Bar.

After installing the plugin, click “Activate.”

Get API and Secret Keys

After Activating the plugin, you will see “Zoom Meeting” in the WordPress Dashboard. Click on “Settings.” This is where you will enter the “API” and “Secret Keys” – which we will generate in your Zoom Account in the next steps.

Log into Zoom

Go to the Zoom Marketplace and log into your Zoom Account.

After you have signed in, pull down on the “Develop” Button at the top of the page and click on “Build App.”

Choose JWT and click Create.

Make up a Name for your “App”

You can call it “WordPress Zoom App” if you want, type in the name and then click Create.

Fill in all the necessary info

Enter info and then click “continue”

The next page will bring you to your App Credentials – these are the keys you need to enter into your website. Enter the keys and click Save Changes on your Website and also hit “check API Connection.”

Enter the API and Secret keys, on at a time, then click Save Changes and then “check API Connection.”

After checking API Connection, you should see a popup box. Click OK. Then refresh your page.

Finish Activating API App

Go back to the Zoom page that had the API credentials and hit the continue button.

Keep clicking Continue (I wasn’t sure at this time about Event Subscriptions, so left this “as is.”)

Click thru until “app is activated”

How to Add an upcoming Zoom Meeting to Your Website Post or Page

Now that you have the Plugin Activated on your website, you will see more options in the WordPress Dashboard besides Settings. To add an upcoming Zoom Meeting to a post or page, click on Settings and then click on the tab for Shortcode.

Choose option #2 for Listing Zoom Meetings – copy the shortcode

Paste shortcode into Post or Page

If using the classic editor, make sure you add the shortcode under the “Text Tab.” In Gutenberg, add a “shortcode” block and enter paste shortcode there.
